Please join us for the 3rd Annual Sip 'N Shop

April 5th, 2013!

Sip N' Shop

While the men (and some women) are enjoying the Chi Chi Miguel Golf Tournament, the shopping savvy will meet for a special bus tour along Scenic Highway 30-A.  We will stop at various boutiques, shops and art galleries, along with a luncheon at Fire Restaurant in Gulf Place, featuring wines donated by Martinelli Winery and Black Dog Cellars.

The Sip 'N Shop will start at 9:00 am and will end around 4:00 pm.  A printed invitation including all the finalized details (bus pick-up location and itinerary) will be mailed to everyone who signs up.

Price: $125 per person

...which includes transportation, lunch, and plenty of wine and champagne to sip!

While we enjoy this day together we will be raising much needed money for the animals of Alaqua Animal Refuge.  Currently, it costs $50,000 per month to operate the refuge, which is entirely dependent upon private donations. Fund raising is a continual effort, with a focus on special events, memberships, planned giving and grants.

About Alaqua Animal Refuge:

Alaqua Animal Refuge, an independent, nonprofit organization located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, advocates the general welfare and humane treatment of animals by providing shelter, prevention of pet overpopulation and adoption services. Located on 10 acres in the town of Freeport, the refuge was formed by Walton County, Fla.-resident Laurie Hood in 2007 when she discovered that countless animals were being euthanized due to the lack of a no-kill shelter/adoption organization in the area. Since that time, Alaqua Animal Refuge has helped find homes for more than 6,000 animals. Currently, up to 100 animals are adopted per month from this unique rescue facility, which serves as a true refuge for more than 250 animals at any given time.
